Can be surprising what you can come across when out for a morning stroll- Branscombe to Sidmouth East Devon, Aug 2016. Sketches Harry Cottey.
The Innocent and The Shamed
Between the innocent and the shamed.
To the east lie the shacks and Shag Rock
With the clad, both young and old, families,
Trust members, the respectable,
All under the eye of coastal walkers,
Traversing Dunscombe and Weston Cliffs,
Where they meet at the sweet mouth to the sea.
To the west at Little Weston, a haven tucked away,
It's all bottoms and breasts, and dangling bits,
Bronzed bodies holding idle conversation
Along the golden shore, cavorting in the sea
With flabby former mermaids alighting from the waves
With liberated smiles to be greeted by yester year's
Adonis.
Come come we say, clothe yourselves with dignity!
But wait, wasn't this how it was meant to be?
