Our cat is a bit like the Rum Tum Tugger in TS Eliot's Old Possum's Book of Practical Cats-when she is out she wants to be in, when she is in she wants to be out- and she doesn't close doors!

doors
They open them with a flick of the paw
Or nuzzle into rooms at mine or yours
They pounce and leap, twist and turn,
Know all the moves there are to learn
They're curious (twist of the head),
And do a hundred
clever things and more,
But cats don't close doors
