SNAP- careful where you take photos

When detained by police in Nairobi, Kenya 7th Oct 2017 whilst on a SOMA mission for taking a photo in a sensitive area. I was a police officer for 30 years, irony! Sketch Harry Cottey.

SNAP

SNAP, all done, but the fun and games have just begun.

As the officer approaches and points his rifle

Brighty realises this is no trifle

To take a photo of a 'friendly checkpoint ☺' sign

Surely, this cannot be a crime?!

But now disclosed as a diplomatic area

The Israeli Embassy to-bout make officers warier

Irony as the former Inspector is detained

By Kenya's best colonially trained

Threatened with the cells and two-day detention

He appeals to the boss and explains the situation

On a mission with preaching and teaching to be done

the officer asks how God's Kingdom Comes?

Brighty says it all starts with the heart

Deletes the photo and is able to part

Yes, part without fine or a corrupt reward,

Buana Asifiwe - Praise The Lord!
