August Birthday


It’s the time of year for

Dragonflies and lazy wasps

The time of harvest-honey

Mulberries, runners, all things

Green and red

The time for goldenrod and

Long, summer days, late

Summer sun

The time for exam results and

Dashes to the sea

The time to cut and prune

And the time to celebrate!
